What is Avidemux?
Avidemux a free video editor designed for easy cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. It supports many file types, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4 and ASF, employing a type of codecs. Tasks will be automated using projects, job queue and powerful scripting capabilities.
Avidemux is accessible for Linux, BSD, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows under the GNU GPL license. The program was written from scratch by Mean, but code from people and projects has been used similarly.
How to install Avidemux on a Linux systems
Avidemux can be installed on Linux systems via flatpak and this method can be used on debian based systems as well as RPM based systems also.
Step 1: Install Flatpak on your system using the setup guide
Step 2: Install Avidemux using flatpak
flatpak install flathub org.avidemux.Avidemux
Step 3: Run Avidemux
flatpak run org.avidemux.Avidemux
